Our Work

Foreign Missions

As members of a fraternity that is evangelical and missionary by nature, Franciscans have always been in the forefront of the Church's mission to bring the good news of Christ to all nations. Holy Name Province has a long and proud tradition of sending men to labor in other lands. At the present time, the Province maintains a foundation in Peru; other friars minister in several other Franciscan provinces that are historically linked to us. The Franciscan Mission Service trains lay volunteers to join Franciscans in their world-wide mission outreach.
