Who We Are

Our Friars

The members of Holy Name Province can be found in anything from the traditional brown habit to business casual attire to work clothes. They can be found in cities, suburbs and rural areas. Their backgrounds are varied and their ministries are diverse; most specialize in various pastoral ministries, as well as education, social ministry, administration and manual trades.

Where We Are

Holy Name Province friars live in local fraternities (friaries) stretching from New England to Florida. Most friaries are connected with a ministry such as parishes or schools. Some friars, such as chaplains, live singly due to their ministry, but gather periodically with other friars.
